THE SCULPTURE BIENNALE

The Ein Hod Sculpture Biennale was conceived and produced in 1990, by the artist Roni Ben-Zvi. Born in Jaffa, Ben Zvi has been living and creating in the artist village ever since 1953.

The Biennale was established in order to promote outdoor exhibitions of contemporary sculptures by artists working world wide in all disciplines of visual art. 180 artists have participated in four Biennales, and over a quarter of million people have visited the site during four biennales.

Each Biennale presented the sculptures of both Israeli and international artists. Some of the best artists in Israel participated in the Biennale, their works already presented in museum and leading galleries world wide. For others, "The Ein Hod Sculpture Biennale" was a stepping stone to international exhibitions of their work and world acclaim.
